Common side effects of Zanaflex may include dry mouth, drowsiness, weakness, dizziness, urinary tract infections, constipation, vomiting, and trouble speaking. More serious side effects can occur and should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately, including hallucinations, confusion, unusual thoughts or behavior, and liver problems.

What are the potential interactions?

Zanaflex can interact with other medications, which can increase the risk of side effects or reduce the effectiveness of either drug. It is especially important to inform your healthcare provider of any other medications you are taking, including blood pressure medications, birth control pills, antibiotics, heart rhythm medications, antifungal drugs, and medications to treat HIV or AIDS. Avoid consuming alcohol as it can increase certain side effects of Zanaflex.
