Atrovent HFA Inhaler
Atrovent HFA is a prescription inhalation medication used to prevent bronchospasm or narrowing of the airways in individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It contains a bronchodilator called ipratropium bromide, which works by relaxing the muscles around the airways so that they open up and you can breathe more easily.
How is this medication used?
Atrovent HFA should be used according to your doctor's instructions. Generally, it is inhaled orally four times a day. Patients are advised to shake the inhaler well for at least 10 seconds before each use. It is important to inhale the medication by breathing in slowly and deeply.
