How is this medication used?

Use Isopto Carpine as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Typically, it is administered as eye drops, with the standard dosage being one or two drops in the affected eye(s) up to four times daily. Wash your hands before applying the drops and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to prevent contamination. Apply the prescribed number of drops into the conjunctival sac of the eye, and gently close the eye to spread the medication. If using other eye medications, wait at least five minutes before applying them.

What are the possible side effects?

Common side effects of Isopto Carpine include temporary irritation, burning, stinging, or redness of the eye. Other side effects may include headache, brow ache, blurred vision, or reduced night vision. Report any unusual or severe side effects to your healthcare provider, such as changes in vision, severe eye pain, or symptoms of an allergic reaction like rash, itching, or facial swelling.
