How is this medication used?

Relpax is typically taken as soon as migraine symptoms appear, but not before. The usual dose is one tablet, and if the migraine returns after relief, a second tablet can be taken, but not sooner than 2 hours after the first tablet. Do not exceed two tablets in a 24-hour period.

What are the possible side effects?

Common side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, weakness, and dry mouth. Rarely, it may cause serious heart side effects such as heart attack or stroke, particularly in people with certain risk factors.

What are the potential interactions?

Relpax can interact with certain medications such as other serotonin receptor agonists (triptans), antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs), and medications that significantly increase blood levels of eletriptan, such as ketoconazole. It's important to disclose all medications to your healthcare provider.
