How is this medication used?

Take one pill orally at the same time every day for 28 days. Follow the blister pack sequentially, starting with the first pill on the Sunday after your period begins or on the first day of your period, depending on doctor's instructions. After completing a 28-day cycle, begin a new pack the next day. For the first cycle of use or if a pill is missed, consult the package's instructions for backup birth control measures.

What are the possible side effects?

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, headache, bloating, breast tenderness, swelling of the ankles/feet (fluid retention), or weight change. More serious side effects may include blood clots, stroke, heart attack, high blood pressure, changes in blood sugar, and depression.
