Jalyn
Jalyn is a combination medication used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. It contains two active ingredients: dutasteride, which prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) - a hormone involved in the development and growth of the prostate; and tamsulosin, which relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate.
Janumet
Janumet is a prescription medication used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a combination of two oral antihyperglycemic drugs, sitagliptin and metformin hydrochloride. Sitagliptin works by increasing levels of natural substances called incretins, which help control blood sugar by increasing insulin release, especially after a meal. Metformin works by decreasing glucose (sugar) production in the liver and decreasing absorption of glucose by the intestines. The combination of these two medications helps manage blood sugar levels more effectively than either medication alone.
Janumet XR
Janumet XR is a prescription medication used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. This medication combines two active ingredients, sitagliptin and metformin extended-release, to help control blood sugar levels. Sitagliptin works by increasing the levels of natural substances called incretins which help control blood sugar by increasing insulin release, especially after a meal. Metformin works by decreasing glucose (sugar) production in the liver and decreasing absorption of glucose by the intestines.
Januvia
Januvia, with the generic name sitagliptin, is a medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes. It belongs to a class of drugs known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. By inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, Januvia increases the levels of two incretin hormones, which help to control blood sugar by increasing insulin release in response to a meal and decreasing the amount of sugar produced by the liver.
Jardiance
Jardiance (empagliflozin) is a prescription medication used to help control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. It belongs to a class of drugs known as sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors. Jardiance works by helping the kidneys remove glucose from the bloodstream through the urine.
Jentadueto
Jentadueto is a prescription medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a combination of two active ingredients, linagliptin and metformin. Linagliptin works by increasing the levels of incretins to raise insulin release and decrease glucagon levels in the circulation in a glucose-dependent manner, while metformin decreases glucose production by the liver and its absorption in the intestines.
Jublia
Jublia (efinaconazole) is a topical antifungal medication used for the treatment of fungal infections of the toenails, known as onychomycosis.
